Arlo Gilbert’s first award was the last. It was indeed the starting point of it all. It was the father of the awards which followed afterwards. He was the cum laude of his batch and his thesis work earned a special recognition during the International Science Festival in London. He also made record, since he was the youngest to receive such a feat.
Jobs came easier for him since he graduated. A lot of companies and laboratories offered him positions, but he took time before he began to work. His temporary hiatus was actually not uneventful. He was offered a scholarship by (no other than) Harvard for his master’s degree and he took two years as time-off. While studying, he was working as a freelance writer in a science journal as well a part-time researcher in a science laboratory. The time he had in two years of study at Harvard as well as the lesser pressure offered to him by his work enabled him to build a family that, ultimately, made him a better person.
After his lie-low years, he made a comeback to the science arena after he was hired as a scientist in the biggest science and research laboratory in the United States. In his first year, Arlo Gilbert was able to formulate a medicine to combat another fatal disease. He also discovered another type of bacteria that fights a killer disease, and most of all, he was speedily promoted as one of the laboratories senior scientists. Before his first year ended, he garnered strings of awards from almost all scientific societies in the country and the whole world. Flying from country to country, he received awards and honors, as well as accolade from every government leaders he met. For now, Arlo Gilbert from Tekken Philippines still works in the laboratory. He also gives lectures in colleges and universities, as well as, organizations that ask him to be their speaker.
